Gaugemaster GMC-CDU Seep Capacitor Discharge Unit
This CDU is designed to operate standard, solenoid type, point motors. It will enable up to 6 points (depending on condition of points and motors) to be operated simultaneously. This is because it stores energy, and then releases it in one short burst when a motor is switched, providing a firm and positive switching action.
Usually, you only need one CDU per layout as they can power multiple points at once.
Additionally it will prevent a motor from being burnt out should a fault develop with your switches. To install, it is simply connected between your power supply and your switches, or probe and studs. After that it can be forgotten about!
