The Nissan R390 GT1 was developed in 1997 for FIA GT and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Built to homologation standards, it featured a carbon-fibre chassis, a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V8 engine producing around 650 hp, and advanced aerodynamics for high-speed stability. Erik Comas drove one of the factory R390 GT1 entries, competing in the grueling Le Mans endurance race. The car was renowned for combining extreme performance with reliability over 24 hours, achieving multiple class podiums and cementing Nissan’s legacy in GT endurance racing. As a slot-car model, it faithfully reproduces the R390 GT1’s livery, details, and racing spirit.
