Description
ESU 50311 Cab Control DCC Digital System With Mobile Control, 7A, 15-21V Output - Pre-Order Due Q3/2025
With the CabControl, we combine the user-friendliness of our popular handheld controller MobileControl Pro with the base station Integrated Control Unit (ICU), which includes a powerful booster, a high-quality DCC central unit with Railcom® and RailComPlus®, and a complete WLAN access point.
With its 7A output power, the CabControl is an ideal control centre for model railroaders of all gauges who are looking for simple manual operation via radio, but do not want to miss out on the convenience of automatic locomotive recognition and comfortable operation of the locomotives.
Control Locomotives
The Integrated Control Unit (ICU) is a fully functional DCC digital control centre with RailCom® and RailComPlus® data formats that can control up to 16,384 locomotives. Each locomotive can be assigned up to 31 functions. Individual function key symbols are managed for each locomotive, as is the locomotive name. A locomotive symbol can be selected directly on the handheld controller. If your locomotive is equipped with a RailComPlus®-compatible decoder, it will be automatically recognised the first time it is put on the track and all its properties will be automatically adopted. You don't need to change anything in the configuration. If necessary, the locomotive address will be reprogrammed fully automatically.
The Mobile Control Pro handheld controller, specially developed for controlling model railways, features a sensitive rotary control and four tactile function buttons on the sides, ensuring clear operation without eye contact. The 480x800 pixel display shows all information in plain text at all times. Up to 32 wireless handheld controllers can be managed.
Switching Switches/Magnetic Items
With the help of the signal box, up to 1000 magnetic items (switches, signals) can be switched directly on the hand controller.
Programming Decoders
The CabControl system can program locomotives directly on the main track using POM and read them directly using RailCom®. Of course, a programming track can also be connected to the ICU.
Booster
The integrated booster with 7A output power is powerful enough to power even 1- or G-gauge layouts. The track voltage can be adjusted directly to the track gauge using the included power supply. Cab Control is suitable for all track gauges.
Connectivity
In addition to a full-featured Wi-Fi access point, the Integrated Control Unit (ICU) also features a LAN and USB port. This allows the system to be directly integrated into your home network and supplemented with an optional computer controller. All common software products are supported by the ICU, as the protocol is compatible with ECoS. If PC software is used, ECoSDetector feedback modules for track occupancy detection can also be connected to the ECoSLink bus and evaluated directly in the software. The USB port can be used to directly charge the Mobile Control Pro, or to connect a USB stick for data backup or software updates for the ICU.
